Pierre Gasly was born in Rouen, France, in 1996. He won the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2013 and the GP2 title in 2016, then made his F1 debut with Toro Rosso in 2017.
Promoted to Red Bull for 2019, he was moved back to Toro Rosso mid-season and finished second in Brazil later that year. His breakthrough came at Monza in 2020, when he won the Italian Grand Prix for AlphaTauri. He joined Alpine in 2023 and took a podium at Zandvoort in his first season. In 2026 he leads Alpine alongside Franco Colapinto.
