Max Verstappen biography
Max Verstappen was born in Hasselt, Belgium, in 1997 and races under the Dutch flag of his father, former F1 driver Jos Verstappen. After a single season of car racing in Formula 3, he made his F1 debut with Toro Rosso in 2015 at 17, the youngest driver ever to start a Grand Prix.
Promoted to Red Bull in 2016, he won on his debut for the team in Spain at 18. He became world champion in 2021 and retained the title in 2022, 2023 and 2024, then missed a fifth crown by two points in 2025. He races for Red Bull Racing in 2026 with the number 3.
