Alex Albon was born in London in 1996 and races under the Thai flag of his mother. He was runner-up in GP3 in 2016 and third in Formula 2 in 2018 before making his F1 debut with Toro Rosso in 2019.
Promoted to Red Bull halfway through that first season, he scored podiums at Mugello and Bahrain in 2020 but lost his seat for 2021, spending the year as a reserve and racing in DTM. He returned with Williams in 2022 and has become a mainstay of the team. In 2026 he drives for Williams alongside Carlos Sainz.
