Yuki Tsunoda was born in Sagamihara, Japan, in 2000. A Honda and Red Bull junior, he won the Japanese Formula 4 title in 2018 and finished third in Formula 2 in 2020, then made his F1 debut with AlphaTauri in 2021, scoring points in his first race.
He spent four-plus seasons with the Faenza team before being promoted to Red Bull Racing from the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix. For 2026 he is test and reserve driver for Red Bull Racing and Racing Bulls, and he raced for Racing Bulls in three rounds while Isack Hadjar was injured.
