Oscar Piastri was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 2001. He won three junior titles in a row: the Formula Renault Eurocup in 2019, Formula 3 in 2020 and Formula 2 in 2021, the latter two as a rookie.
He made his F1 debut with McLaren in 2023 and took his first Grand Prix win in Hungary in 2024. In 2025 he led the championship for much of the season and finished third as McLaren retained the constructors’ title. He continues alongside Lando Norris at McLaren in 2026.
