Liam Lawson biography
Liam Lawson was born in Hastings, New Zealand, in 2002. He won the Toyota Racing Series in 2019, finished third in Formula 2 in 2022 and was runner-up in Japan’s Super Formula in 2023, having also come second in DTM in 2021.
He made his F1 debut for AlphaTauri at the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix as an injury stand-in, returned with RB late in 2024 and started 2025 at Red Bull before swapping back to Racing Bulls after two rounds. He races for Racing Bulls in 2026 and stepped up to Red Bull Racing for three rounds while Isack Hadjar was injured.
