About Haas
Haas, the American team founded by machine-tool businessman Gene Haas, joined Formula 1 in 2016. It scored points on its debut, when Romain Grosjean finished sixth in Australia, and its best constructors’ result so far is fifth in 2018. Rather than build everything in-house, Haas buys many parts from Ferrari, which also supplies its power unit.
The team is headquartered in Kannapolis, North Carolina, with a UK factory in Banbury and an office in Maranello. Ayao Komatsu has been team principal since 2024, and a technical partnership with Toyota led to the team racing as TGR Haas F1 Team from 2026. The drivers are Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman.
